Who do I look like?

Some people say I look like my daddy....

Some people say I look like my Pops....

Some people say I look like my Grampa Matsoukas....

Some people say I look like my mommy....

But I think I look just like myself!

Back in the Saddle

I think I am the world's worst blogger.  I have not been keeping up with the blog as I should, but I promise to be better!

This month has been a whirlwind.  Among other things, I went back to work, we hosted my mom and Peter's mom for a week each while each graciously helped us take care of John during the "transition," we started our nanny share with our wonderful new friends Aileen, Aaron and Finn, we met our fantastic new nanny Kim, visited with old friends Mike and Stephanie Edelman, took a quick trip to Indy for work, and generally got used to our new "normal" life!

John is a wonderful baby.  He sleeps about 8-10 hours per night and eats like a champ.  We are so lucky to have an easygoing, healthy, happy little boy.  He is so smiley all the time, and rarely cries unless he is hungry or tired.  We are very blessed.

Here are a few pictures of John with his new girlfriend and nanny pal Finn.  They are adorable together.  Having a nanny share has, so far, turned out to be a wonderful decision.  We are really grateful we found such a great family!

Indianapolis Trip

This past weekend, we took a quick, impromptu trip to Indianapolis to hang out with KK and Pops.  It was great fun - John got to meet Father Bonke for the first time, we got to see ND crush Purdue (always fun), Wisconsin crush Nebraska and just generally got to relax.  It was a wonderful weekend.  Here are some pictures:

Tummy time.

Mom and Amy fought over him all Friday night.

Chillin' with Father Bonke.

Two Months Old!

John is officially two months old!  He is such a great baby.  He has learned how to play with toys and keeps himself occupied for an hour at a time on his play mat - or as we call it, the "babysitter!"  He sleeps through the night most nights, for about 9-10 hours, which makes his mom and dad very, very happy :)  We are proud of our little Nugget!

Playtime

John loves his activity mat.  He can't get enough of it.  I can't tell what he can see, or if he knows what he is hitting with his hands or when, but I know that he adores being on it and will stay there for a good 20-30 minutes at a time.  Phenomenal invention!

John's Baptism

Last Sunday, September 11, 2011, we had John baptized at St. Alphonsus, our parish.  It was a wonderful celebration and we were fortunate enough to have many members of our family, including both of John's great-grandmothers, in for the occasion.

Sip 'N' See

On Wednesday night we had a Sip 'N' See at my parents' house so all of our good Indianapolis friends could stop by and see John.  We had lots of fun into the wee hours!

One Month Old

I made it to one month!  Here's how I spent my birthday:

Walking (laying) like an Egyptian....

Flexing my big muscles like my birthday buddy, Ah-nold Schwartzeneggar....

Chilling with the Chief....

And posing for more photo shoots.  I wish I wasn't so darn photogenic!

John's First Smiles!

Gramma KK has been very proud this week that she has gotten John's first smiles out of him!  Not too bad at one month old!

And of course, one of the outtakes:

Fun with Auntie Jessica

Aunt Jessica came to visit us last week and we had so much fun with her!  John absolutely loved being in her fun sling - we hope to figure out how to use it one of these days!
